Saginaw County is a premier destination for nightlife, entertainment and shopping. The Jolt Credit Union Event Park is the premier outdoor event venue in the county and regularly hosts summer concerts. TheDow Event Center features major acts year-round, and Saginaw’s robust parks and recreation department ensures that there are activities for families to enjoy nearly every weekend.

Saginaw is ranked highly because there is so much to do here. Saginaw County is home to a wide array of entertainment venues with something for everyone in the family. Annual events include a Spring Festival put on by the Riverside Saginaw Film Festival and Court Street Theater - an event that attracts film lovers from throughout the state. Saginaw Winter Brew Festival, the Great Lakes Bay Pride Festival, Saginaw Fireworks, Zehnder’s Ragtime Festival, Frankenmuth Blues Festival, and the Saginaw County Fair are just a few of the popular events happening throughout the year. 

Entertainment for Children & Families 

Families enjoy visiting the Children’s Zoo - a regional destination celebrating Nature, Wildlife, and Lifelong Discovery through affordable and engaging experiences. The Dow Event Center regularly hosts events for children like ‘Baby Shark Live!’ and popular children’s plays. 

The Mid-Michigan Children’s Museum, Press Play 989 entertainment center, and Skyzone are other popular activities for kids. Plus, with waterfront parks and an incredible trail system, there are plenty of outdoor entertainment options as well. 

Nightlife 

Adults enjoy musicals, plays and entertainers at TheDow Event Center and the historic Temple Theatre in Downtown Saginaw. The venues host events ranging from standup comedian Jerry Seinfeld to Riverdance, plays, and concerts. 

Saginaw County has many clubs to choose from as well. Woody's Draught House,  Oracle Brewing, Mac’s, Retro Rocks, Creekside Bar & Grill, and Coty's Landing are just a few popular destinations. 

For something more low-key, Saginaw County has breweries, taprooms and wine bars that are a perfect place to grab a drink and relax with friends. Many of them will have live music on the weekends and some even feature local comics. 

Saginaw County has unique entertainment options too, like Whites Bar that is the only venue in America offering live music twice a day, every day, 364 days a year or a Frankenmuth pub crawl on a 16-person trolley

Shopping

People come from throughout the region and state to shop in Saginaw County’s traditional downtown districts, boutiques and shopping malls. Frankenmuth offers a number of restaurants and shops with Bavarian appeal and world famous chicken. Birch Run Premium Outlets is a large outlet mall boasting over 145 brand name stores. Cabela’s was a great addition to the Bay and Tittabawasse Road Corridor shopping district, which has benefited from new attractions, retail shopping and dining opportunities.
